How to calculate the salary of a bank probationary officer(po)?

The salary structure at entry level for a Bank probationary officer in Nationalised Banks is given below.The scale of pay is 10000-470-18200.The scale is due for revision.Now,I will tell you how to get the gross salary.

Step 1:The dearness allowance is added with the basic pay.At present,the DA is 48%.It increases by 2-3% every three months depending on the change in Consumer price index.So 485 of 10000 is 4800 and total salary is 14800.

Step 2:Besides this,You get city compensatory allowance at 4% of basic pay.This will be at 400.So total salary is 15200.

Step 3:You can draw HRA or HRR from the bank.HRA is fixed and comes around 800,For receiving HRR you have to take a house and Bank will pay the rent for you.It varies from Bank to Bank.In a city like Mumbai, It can vary fro 4000 in case of smaller banks to 1000O in case of banks LIKE SBI.

Step 4:Besides this, You will get Newspaper allowance in all banks. Some banks will give you mobile phone allowance and entertainment allowance.

Step 5:You will get fuel allowance after your probationary period,which is equivalent to 40 litres of petrol.

How to make idli
